You'll be Raven about this Hop/Release

Well it's here. The May Hop/Release at Sassy Studio Designs.
You should have arrived here from Sara's blog.  If not, head back to the beginning here. Remember if you comment on all of the stops of the Hop, you could win the entire release. I was assigned the "Raven Queen Sassy" image.  I think Lindsay has done a great job giving some of the "Ever After High" characters her "Sassy" touch.
Enough rambling, here's my project.  I made a easel card.

Black and Green

It's that time of the week again. It's the next Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #231.  And this time it's a sketch.
Since the new "Maleficent" movie is coming out tomorrow, I thought I'd make a card with that theme.  I took a little liberty with the sketch.  I used my image as the large square, a rectangle for the sentiment circle and substituted a button for the bow.

The movie looks pretty good. Here's a trailer.  Maybe you'll go and see the movie.  Even if you don't, I think you should make a project for this week's DTBST challenge at Sassy Studio Designs.  We'd love to see your take on the sketch.

And don't forget that this Saturday is the May Sassy Studio Designs Hop/Release. Come see what the DT makes with the new images Lindsay has created.

Thanx for looking and please comment.

American Girl

Well it's almost here....Summer. Although lately there have been some days that felt like the middle of July here in Western PA (mid to upper 80s).  To honor the upcoming "Memorial Day weekend" the next Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge (#230) at Sassy Studio Designs is "Red, White and Blue".  I thought I'd make a card with a different fold and use a napkin for the background.

Just a Splash of Color

Do you make projects with a lot of colors?  I like to play with colors.  But this week's Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge (#229) at Sassy Studio Designs is "White with a Splash of Color".

I decided not to even add color to my image for this challenge.  So I colored it with greys.

Stuff I Used:
Image-Dorothy Sassy by Sassy Studio Designs
Colored with Copics (C1, C3, C5, C7)
DP-me and my Big ideas Mambi Sheets pack
Cardstock-stash

I layered the background DP/cardstock and popped each up on foam squares.  I added a smaller image and more DP on the inside.

This was a fun challenge trying to only "add a splash of color".  Hopefully you'll join the fun and try your hand at the challenge.

Thanx for looking and please comment.

Some Mom Love

I know everyone says it, but I do have "the best Mom in the world".  And that's the theme of this week's Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge (#228 Card related to Mom) at Sassy Studio Designs. There are many great SSD images that would be great for the challenge.  But I used the "#1 Mom" image.  Here's my card.

Happy Star Wars Day

If you didn't know it, today is "Star Wars Day". Why today? Because it's May the 4th.  So "May the 4th be with you."  And to celebrate, some of the DT at Sassy Studio Designs have created some projects using the fabulous "Princess Leia Sassy" and I created a couple "SentiMints" to go with it.  I also created a project.

I made a shirt.  I colored Leia on my computer. Printed the image and sentimint using a iron on T-shirt transfer sheet.  After I made it and showed my Dad, he asked me to make one for his trainer (who's a big Star Wars fan).  So I made one for him.
If you'd like to get your hands on the image and SentiMints, head over to Sassy Studio Designs and get them.  And there is a special deal for this week only. They have a special offer for all of you Sassy Fans out there, a New SentiMints Set!
its a single set of 2 versions of the same sentiment, it is available for sale on it's own for $1.00,
but in honor of Star Wars Day, for this week only you can get the Princess Leia Sassy and the Sentiment at a discounted price of $3.00! Regular price for the 2 would be $5.00 so take advantage of this short term discount while you can over at the store.

Thanx for looking and please comment or I'll send Chewbaca to your house.

Glitter Squares

It's May! We can finally put winter behind us and get ready for summer.  And summer means "Sunglasses".   So the "Dare To Be Sassy Thursday" challenge (#227)
at Sassy Studio Designs this week is "So Bright Gotta Wear Shades"- Make it Sparkle and Shine.  The first thing I thought of  was my Glitter tape.  So that's what I used.

angled to get a better look at the glitter (sorry it got a little blurry)

DP-My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus
Card stock-Staples card stock pack

Glitter tape-Darice Sparkle tape Yellow, Orange, Red

I made 3" squares using the glitter tape on card stock. I cut them out with my x-acto.  I added glitter pen to the flowers on the DP, the top of the dress and shoes to add more sparkle.
I popped up the image on homemade tan foam squares.  And added a smaller image and more DP and glitter tape on the inside.
Hopefully you'll join us at Sassy Studio Designs, and get ready for summer, by creating something that will help you break in your shades.
