Shiver Me Timbers

Yo Ho Ho and a digital stamp. Since I didn't want to walk the plank, I played along with the challenge at the Hambo Hoedown.  This week's digi is "Pirate" and the challenge was to add a "map"".  And being that the image is a pirate and I'm from Pittsburgh, of course the map I used is "downtown Pittsburgh".

Calculator Love

If you're looking for a great weekly challenge, the Hambo Hoedown is a terrific Addition.  This week the challenge was to create a card and add "numbers". Not including the numbers on the calculator.  If you use a Hambo image, you will receive next week's image free.  Here is what I came up with.

After I was done making and photographing it.  I thought of a different sentiment.  I redid the card to this.

Army & Navy Honeys

Time for the next round (#2) of the Progressive Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs group at Paper Craft Planet. This time it's a military theme. And you can get more than 1 image for free.  Now I know you're saying, "How's that?"  Well, if you play along with the Army Honey image and submit it.  You can receive the Navy or Air Force Honey  image.  That's pretty cool, huh.  But wait there's more! If you play along with the 2nd image, you can get the 3rd image.  That's 3 great images.  And these images are perfect to make a project for the 4th of July or for someone who has served for their country.  To all those who have served or are serving their country, I want to say "Thank You".
Now for my cards.  First up is Army Honey.

A Box for my Heart

The challenge this time at Crafting with Dragonflies is to "Make a Box".  As a member of  Design Team at Sassy Studio Designs, I played along.  Usually when I make a project, it is for a specific purpose.  This time my project turned out to be more of a "artsy" piece.

I added chip board to the corners and top and then covered the entire box with metal tape. It that is used on counter tops under cook tops to reflect the heat away from the counter.  Here's a pic of the roll.

I added the faux rivets with the tube from a pen with the point retracted.
I scanned the heart/clock sticker. Printed it out larger and covered it with Glossy Accents and cut it out.
I lined the box with red felt pieces.
I popped up the Tin Sassy image on homemade pink foam squares.

This was a fun project. It was the 2nd project that I made this month that wasn't a card. I think I may have to make more non-card projects.

You Did It Grad

I love making cards. But sometimes it's fun to make something different. As a Design Team member at Sassy Studio Designs I participated in the "No Cards" challenge at Craft my Life.  I thought with graduation season here, what would be better than a photo holder for the new Grad. And since I'm a grad of Penn State and my Dad is a professor at PSU, that's the school I went with.

Chemistry 101

Time for the newest challenge at the Hambo Hoedown. This week's challenge was to add "Bubbles".  You can use the image you'd have received free if you played along the previous week and used a  Hambo Stamps image, or any Hambo Stamps image (and receive the new image next week) or use any image.  I used the "Test Tubes" image that I got free for playing along last week.

I popped up the test tube image on homemade black foam squares along with the sentiment on the inside.

It's always fun playing along with the challenges each week.
